Somehow whichever way you slice it, the summer months are an expensive time of year.  Whether it’s because you would like to take a vacation or because you are sending your child off to camp, it always seems as though the summer months are very costly.  The fact is that most of us are not seeing a raise in salary to cover for the extra expenses that keep cropping up, so it may be time to start thinking out of the box to find some easy ways to earn some extra cash.
You will be pleasantly surprised to know that there are plenty of easy ways for you to gain some change in your pocket.

One great way to earn some extra cash this time of year is to organize a yard sale.  Take some time to go through your garage, attic, basement and the rest of your home to find items that you no longer use but may still have some value.  You will be surprised at how some of your “junk” may have tremendous value to someone else. Organize your sale well.  Display the items properly and attractively in order to sell more items and also at a higher price.  By making a yard sale you will be “killing two birds with one stone”. You will be getting rid of the junk and clutter and at the same time earning some extra cash.

And once you are at it, take the time go through your gold jewelry, your silver and any other precious metals that you may have.  The gold or silver jewelry that you no longer wear, why not take advantage of it and sell your gold to earn some extra cash.  Over the years you probably amassed a collection of gold. Chances are you most likely wear very little of it, especially now when everyone is turning to fashion jewelry. Why not sell the gold and have cash in its place. You can sell anything made of real gold including jewelry that is no longer in wearable conditions, like your tangled chain necklace, the half pair of earring, bracelet with a broken clasp; if it a precious metal than you can sell it for its worth.

Another easy means to make some extra cash is to use your talents and acquired skills as a tool to make some extra money.  If you have a musical talent, and play an instrument well, why not share your talent with someone else and teach another how to play that instrument for a fee.  If you do something that you enjoy the hours that you give up to make the extra cash will be enjoyable and rewarding.  Another great skill to teach during this season is swimming.  If you are a licensed life guard, you can make a lot of money in a cool and enjoyable way by giving swimming lessons.  The best part of it, is, that you can do it according to your own schedule.

These ideas mentioned are great way to gain some quick change in your pocket. You won’t be able to quit your day job with the money that you earn, yet you will have some extra cash to cover the costs of many of the things that you wanted to do over the summer season.
