How To Enjoy An Amazing Night Out On The Cheap

>> Thursday, October 31, 2013

Everyone loves a night out, but when you don’t have any money to spend it is tempting to forgo your night out in favour of a cheap night in watching TV. But just because you are broke, it doesn’t mean you have to stay at home. No, with a little bit of creative thinking you can easily enjoy a fun night on the town for very little cash.

Collect Discount Codes

If you are hoping for a night out sometime soon, start collecting discount codes now. With a bit of luck, you may be able to reduce the cost of a meal at a local restaurant. Lots of restaurants offer two-for-one deals every so often in order to drum up some extra business, so make sure you take full advantage of their generosity.

Cash in Loyalty Points

Being a member of a loyalty scheme means you can accumulate points each time you spend money in your favourite stores. It usually takes quite a long time to build up enough points to spend on something worthwhile, but if you do have enough points, see what exciting things are on offer. You could end up enjoying an evening at the cinema or even a night out in a fancy hotel—it all depends on how many points you have saved up.

Look for Great Coupon Deals

Coupon deals are a great way to enjoy a fun night out for very little. Coupon deals are published every day, so you need to keep looking if you want to pick up a hot deal for a night out. Sign up for a few of the most popular coupon deal websites and see what comes up. Hotel stays, food, drink and even theatre tickets are all a possibility.

Bring Your Own Booze

Even if the meal isn’t expensive the alcohol usually is, which is why a ‘bring your own booze’ restaurant is an excellent choice for those who like a tipple or ten. Instead of spending a fortune on a dodgy house wine that strongly resembles vinegar, you can take along a bottle of your favourite merlot and enjoy a cheap and cheerful evening.

Get Someone Else to Pay for Everything

An easy way to enjoy a fabulous night out for absolutely nothing is to make sure someone else pays for everything. It isn’t exactly nice to not pay your way, but as long as your companion is happy to treat you, there shouldn’t be any issues. Just don’t wait until the end of an expensive five course meal at the best restaurant in town before announcing you left your credit card at home.
A word of warning: if you are on a first date, it is a good idea not to mention that the reason you can’t stop grinning manically is because you managed to secure a two for one deal (or similar) on the meal. Your date will assume you are a stingy cheapskate and probably refuse to see you ever again.
